Founded in 1931, Nissin Chemical Laboratories has long contributed to industrial development as a “chemical assistant” — a problem-solver for production sites across a wide range of industries. Our product lineup includes over 1,000 different chemical agents, such as defoamers, deinking agents, release agents, softeners, cleaners, biocides, lubricants, antistatic agents, and preservatives — to name just a few. We serve a diverse array of industries, with a particular focus on paper manufacturing, textiles, wire drawing, printing, and building materials.

1931 昭和6年 Nissin Chemical founded in Kawanoe City, Ehime Prefecture (now Shikokuchuo City)
1940 昭和15 Obtained patent for sperm whale oil cracking treatment method for sperm whale oil.
Production of chemicals for the textile industry begins.
1948 昭和23 Begins nationwide supply of chemicals for the pulp and paper industry (papermaking industry).
Production of chemicals for wire drawing industry begins.
1953 昭和28 Establishment of Pitch Control Method for Paper Manufacturing (NISSIN-PCM)
1955 昭和30 Established Nisshin Chemical Laboratory Co.
1960 昭和35 Constructed a factory in Takatsuki City, Osaka and relocated the head office
1976 昭和51 Expanded industrial site at Takatsuki main factory to include additional offices, warehouses, and storage of hazardous materials
1981 昭和56 Sapporo Office established
1985 昭和60 New research building added at Takatsuki main factory
1986 昭和61 Fuji Office established
1999 平成11 Sapporo Office increased as Hokkaido Office
2000 平成12 ISO 9001 certification (Takatsuki main factory)
2002 平成14 Tokyo Office established
2003 平成15 Sendai Office established
Pilot plant added at Takatsuki main factory
2009 平成21 Sendai Office increased as Tohoku Office
2013 平成25 ISO 9001 certification (Kawanoe factory)
2014 平成26 Tokyo Branch Office increased as Tokyo Office
Received “Osaka Manufacturing Excellence Award 2014” and "Intellectual Property Category Award
2016 平成28 Hiroshima Office opened
Received the Sasaki Award from the Japan Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry.
2017 平成29 Licensed to manufacture and sell cosmetics.
2018 平成30 Official online store “ChemiLabo®” opens.
2019 令和1 Yuichiro Kato becomes President and Representative Director
2020 令和2 Licensed to manufacture and sell quasi-drugs.
2021 令和3 Started providing tax returns to Takatsuki City Furusato tax payment website.
2022 令和4 Movable rack warehouse added at Takatsuki main factory
2023 令和5 Kanto Branch Office opened. Obtained approval for the “Business Continuity Enhancement Plan” from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
